Red Katana Goes Goliath

Switzer Red Katana

The Red Katana is one of the most visible cars to ever roll out of Switzer Performance- and for good reason. After blasting into the 8s two years ago, the car was named one of the Top 10 Tuner Cars of the year and appeared on the cover of DSport magazine before putting in solid runs at a number of events throughout 2013. For 2014, though, the Red Katana’s owner decided it needed something a little “extra” to keep it fresh … so he decided to upgrade to Switzer’s latest Goliath spec.

You remember the Goliath from last season, when the 1500 WHP car became the world’s fastest Nissan GTR at the Moscow Unlimited standing mile event and took you for a virtual 8 second 1/4 mile blast in high-definition, in car video.

In the Red Katana, the Switzer Performance Goliath PKG delivers the same 1500+ WHP as the GTR that conquered Russia. Instead of heading off to the frozen north, however, it went to Texas for the TX2K14 race event weekend. Here’s a quick highlight video, below, that features some test and tune drag race footage (the official drag race event was canceled due to rain) and some side-by-side qualifying action against a 1000+ HP Porsche.

For more information and pricing about the Red Katana, the Goliath package, or prepping your car for the next TX2K or Shift S3ctor event, contact Switzer Performance or an authorized Switzer Performance dealer.
