750 HP NISMO GTR PKG

Nissan Nismo GTR

Cars like the R32 and R34 Nissan Skyline defined the tuning culture of the 21st century. In the US and across Europe, the hottest, limited-edition JDM versions of these inspired a generation, and led directly to the successful launch of the R35 GTR as a globally available, world-beating super car. Today, those limited-edition Nissans are worth a fortune. They’re so collectible, in fact, that when a prospective client came into Switzer Performance’ Oberlin, Ohio shop with his own ultra-rare Nismo GTR wanting to tune it, Tym’s response was short, and to the point.

“Don’t cut into that car.”

“(The Nismo) is a very tempting car to work on,” says Tym Switzer, head of Switzer Performance. “It’s everything a standard GTR is, but the Nismo is just a little bit more exotic. It’s going to be a very collectible car in the future, so we have to tread lightly when we’re considering what an appropriate build is on a future classic like that.”

With an eye towards preserving the car’s future value, the crew at Switzer put together a fully reversible suite of upgrades that involves no cutting, bending, or “tweaking” of the original car: the 750+ HP NisMORE Performance PKG. A powerful, responsive, and 100% reversible set of high-performance upgrades for the 2015+ Nismo edition GTRs.

750 HP SWITZER PKG FOR NISMO GTR

This 150+ HP gain is made possible by the Nismo edition GTR’s larger turbochargers- aided by a free-flowing, 102 mm Switzer Performance stainless steel exhaust system, and a Switzer-developed air intake and a number of fuel system upgrades that include higher capacity injectors and fuel pumps. Keeping things cool is Switzer’s latest intercooler upgrade kit, which enables consistent performance under even the most brutal, high-temperature track conditions.

“We knew we had to be careful with these special cars, and we wanted to be able to give our Nismo GTR customers the same kind of experience we’ve always given our regular GTR clients,” explains Tym. “That means that, even though everything had to be 100% bolt-on and 100% reversible, the car still had to drive just like stock around town, but be a monster on a race track. With this P750 NisMORE PKG, the customer gets to keep all the special Nismo take-off parts, but still play with the big boys. I think we’ve definitely delivered on all those fronts.”
