USE GTR DOMINATES AT POCONO

Switzer Ultimate Street Edition Pro

The fastest street cars in North America getting together for heads-up, side-by-side racing to determine who’s really got what under the hood. That was the promise of the SlipStream 1600′ roll racing event held last weekend at the Pocono Raceway. And, while many cars showed up, it was one of Switzer’s Ultimate Street Edition Nissan GTRs that dominated the competition.

The Switzer Ultimate Street Edition Pro package delivers real-world performance,” says Neil Switzer. “Real-world performance means real-world results, and that’s what the USEs showed at the Slipstream race last week. These are cars that get driven to the event, driven at the event on the same 20″ wheels and tires they always run, then get driven home. That’s real, usable performance that you can run respectably anywhere in the world, and that’s always what the USE has been about.”

Of course, even a car as capable Switzer’s USE GTR can’t drive itself. “(The car’s owner) did a great job driving the USE all weekend long,” explains Tym Switzer, head of Switzer Performance. “The car did its job. It was smooth and consistent at the start of each run, it tracks straight, and he keeps accelerating strongly throughout each pull. Everything performed perfectly, and I’m glad he got to have the experience of winning an event like this.”

On its way to victory, the blood-orange, Switzer-tuned USE GTR Nissan beat the times of some super-fast cars. Cars like a UGR-built “Stage 3″ twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo, a 1000 HP HKS Nissan, and an AMS Alpha 12 packing 200 additional (claimed) horsepower. What’s more, many of these passes were captured by the event’s video staff- so you can watch the runs for yourself, below, and read more about Switzer’s USE GTR PKG by clicking here, or by contacting Switzer Performance in Oberlin, Ohio.
